  • Redevelopment of a former automotive repair business into a County-operated solid waste collection facility

  • Key design elements include:

    • Sight-line sensitive entrance and exit

    • Double-lane trash compactor 

    • Cardboard and single-stream recycling

    • Over-sized item collection with vehicle ramp

  • Redevelopment of a the former Whitetop School into a visitor's center and special event destination

  • Key design elements include:

    • Visitor's center in the restored historic rock school 

    • Expansive pollinator habitat and rain garden

    • Outdoor stage

    • Christmas tree farm demonstration area

    • Playground

    • Environmental observation deck along Helton Creek
